VocMed approved by SSA & DOL/OWCP

VocMed is pleased to announce the company has been approved by the United Sates Social Security Administration as an Employer Network (EN) within their Ticket to Work program.The ticket program is a free and voluntary Social Security program that helps people who receive disability benefits return to work or begin work for the first time.  Gregory Henderson, CRC, Justin Henderson, CDMS, and Aimee Faucher, CDMS, have all completed the necessary training and are now eligible to provide job placement assistance to those individuals receiving SSI and SSDI benefits.  Recognition as an Employer Network is an comprehensive process that is extremely selective.

Also, Gregory Henderson, CRC, and Justin Henderson, CDMS, have been certified by the United States Department of Labor, Office of Workers' Compensation Programs (OWCP) as Rehabilitation Counselors eligible to provide job placement service to Federal workers who have been injured and cannot return to their pre-injury occupations.  Unlike those individuals receiving SSI and SSDI benefits where participation is voluntary, participation is mandatory for Federal workers receiving benefits through the OWCP.  Certification as a Rehabilitation Counselor by the OWCP is by application and granted to only the most qualified candidates.  Both Gregg and Justin recently completed two days of mandatory training in Jacksonville, FL.
